Water

If I were a drop of water, and you'd asked me: When would I find true love?

It depends, I'd say. Are you ready for true love?

Most people think that true love is something to be found. For me I think 'true love' is when you truly love yourself.

And you challenge me by asking: What happens after I truly love myself?

Well then, you need to find someone who has also found the 'true love' you have found. Without having understood that in the first place, how can they understand yours?

Contrary to popular belief, two broken mirrors do not make one complete one. If anything, they become crass reflections of each other, for each other, to recognize the flaw that was there in the first place.

The broken pieces just won't fit no matter how hard you try.

The crazy 24 hours

Finally back in the comforts on the office, sitting on the chair, in front of the notebook. What a crazy, crazy, CRAZY weekend !!!! Only managed to reach Singapore around 5:30pm and got a message asking me to be at Changi airport at 6:30pm because there's been a change of plans in accommodation. The best part .. it takes about 45 mins to get there from where I am ... LOL

Had a quick snack, rushed to the MRT and made my way to Changi stop, while I was at the interchange waiting for the train, got a call and asked to head to Pasir Ris instead. Luckily I wasn't on the train yet. So made a few more sms informing others of the change of plans and dinner at Clarke Quay is not going to be happening.

Only managed to reach the apartment around 8pm and plans were made to have dinner nearby and head there around 9ish pm. We were at the monorail station buying tickets to go Sentosa around 10pm and everyone was pumped to get the party started. So did the rest of the people around us. It's gonna be a crazy packed night. Even to enter we had to queue for almost an hour. We finally got in and bought coupons for drinks and made plans to meet at a specific point, in case we loose each other and which is what exactly happened. The best part, it was me that got lost, sort of ... hahaahhaahha. I had my eyes set on the group in front and was trying to catch up with them, turned and looked behind and the group behind me was gone, turn to the front and that group was also gone, so basically I was the odd one one.

The best news of the night, my money was with group A, my handphone and MRT ticket was with group B !! hahahaahahahha I had nothing with me except my camera and the entrance ticket to Zouk !!! Woots .. how amazing is that !!! LOL

Just walked around keeping an eye out for them while trying to enjoy the whole Zoukout experience. There were 3 stages, with stage A being the highlight of the event. It was crazy crazy packed especially with everyone waiting in anticipation for Tiesto to get on stage. He opened with Kaleidoscope and I was immediately mesmerised. I closed my eyes and let the music take control. A wave of calmness filled me and I suddenly felt I was magically being transported elsewhere. The thousands of people around me didn't exist. I was alone and I was okay with that, a smile crept up my face and I knew it was okay. It was okay to be alone, it was okay to feel alone, alone is not a bad thing after all. I was overwhelmed by it all, never would I expect to feel such serenity in the midst of chaos. It was magical to say the least.

David Guetta did a good job entertaining the crowd especially after such a big name like Tiesto. Didn't get to catch much of his songs as I was busy running around looking for friends. In the end I was just walking around listening to the music at the various stages and at the same time keeping a lookout for familiar faces.

Before long the sun made it appearance but that didn't stop anyone from continuing the party and at wee hours of the morning you can see everyone still pumped and energetic as if they just started out. It was madness, never have I been to a party that lasts so long and being awake to witness it all.

Around 7:30am I began to get worried because I haven't spotted anyone and we had a bus to catch at 10am. Decided to take a slow stroll to the monorail station in hopes of spotting them resting somewhere or having breakfast at one of the nearby stalls. Still no luck, sat around the station till around 8:30am and began to get desperate. Didn't have any money to take the ride back to Harbour Front so if I walked it would take roughly an hour, which would give me enough time to borrow a phone and call them but will they be already there or already prepared to head to the bus departure area.

In the end I approached a total stranger and asked if he's phone had internet access so I can check my Google Mail and get someone's contact number as I don't even remember anyone's at the top of my head. He was kind enough to lend me his phone and even make a call to a KL number and I manage to get hold of someone and had my transportation arranged from Sentosa to the bus terminal. Even manage to tell the rest that the bus was at 10 am and not 11am as they assumed. Phewwww we manage to get there in time and lucky us the bus was not even there yet.

Yet another crazy adventure for your's truly.

It's been a while

It's really been a while since I've had time to update the blog and
recently after reading through it, I realised how so many things has
happened the past year and though some of it is still fresh in the
mind I'm pretty sure I've already forgotten some of it.

I'm currently on a bus, heading to Singapore for Zoukout. Yah can you
imagine, me heading for a rave party. Its going to by first time going
for such a thing and I have no idea what to expect.

Well like the saying goes the best things in life happens when you
least expect it :) Plus I'm on the bus with Jo and a few of her dutch
friends. Tonight is going to be a good night :D

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

friends ... who are they and what do they mean ? Everyone has their own interpretation of what a friend means and how to define a true close trustable friend compared to just a friend. This year I started questioning the presence of certain people in my life and I know there are a precious few that I'm extremely grateful for and at the same time those that I'm really close with seem to be the ones that are currently the furthest away from me. Somehow the man upstairs made me meetup with some awesome people this year and also to reconnect with some that I have lost contact with. I tried to be friends with everyone thinking that a friend is better then an enemy but this year I realise that not everyone can be a friend and there are some out there who just need your help/presence for a short moment of time and then they move on.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or! make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to! accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Mind vs heart

The most interesting thing about the heart transplant is that one completely loses his own heart and be replaced with someone else’s heart yet still has the feelings for the same person he loves. This proves that love works in the minds of people and not in their hearts. You will learn how to forget only if you try doing so.

The amazing weekend

It's not every time that I have things planned for the weekend but this time around I'm glad that my weekend turned out the way it did :)

Friday evening
It started out by celebrating some of my colleagues birthday at the office. We usually have this monthly birthday bash and since last month was puasa and raya, we celebrated the birthday for the September and October babies together. As usual there was cake and loads of food. Since I was requested to bring my camera I helped out taking the pictures for the event.

It's amazing how my colleagues love to be in front of the camera and they can take pictures almost the whole evening. Had loads of laughter and fun and it was good to experience the closeness of everyone. Had a dinner appointment in Desa Park city so after cleaning up the office I left to head for my next event of the evening :)

Friday dinner

Was invited to join some friends who are meeting up for our primary school reunion. Some of this people I've never met ever since leaving primary school and I had my doubts but since I knew one or two people who are going I decided to just join since I had nothing else to do anyway. Even though I was late I was the third person there while the rest was even later. Soon one by one they arrived and I didn't even recognise most of them. Then we started looking at our old photos and suddenly faint memories of them returned but very vaguely.

So it was the usual catching up, updating each other on our lives and what we are doing. Glad to know that not everyone is married and some are still enjoying life. At least don't feel so left out and since any jokes that involved age will affect all of us, things werent' so bad. Somehow we started talking about cars, cameras, pr, advertising. Just light stuff but the best part for me was how almost strangers can sit down on the same table and just talk and laugh about stuff. It was nice :) Halfway through dinner got a call from Irene saying that it was a common friends birthday and I was ordered to go there ASAP so just like that I had another venue to be at and the timing couldn't be more perfect :)

The Birthday
I think I can safely say that I was the last one who got there hahaha hey I got the notice quite late also okay. Wished the birthday girl a happy birthday and was introduced to the others that I didn't know. Suprisingly it was a pretty small group, with just 6 or 7 of us. Some faces were familiar because I've seen pictures of them during other group outings but oddly enough the familiar faces were missing hmmmm I thought at least some of those so called regulars would make it a point to celebrate a friend's birthday. Oh well that's something I don't want to dwell into especially right now.

So since I brought along the camera with me, I decided to put it to good use la. So started snapping pictures and then I got tired and sat down and started mingling while Irene took my camera and continued taking pictures. Was talking to Michelle (now I know like 3-4 Michelle's LOL) and realised that she is cheese head and somehow one thing lead to another and I found myself being invited out for dinner next week to wine and dine ... hmmm I'll need to see if the offer still stands or not or was it a spur of the moment thing .. hahahaha

I wasn't planning of ending up being out for so long and wasn't even dressed for the occasion. The freakng shirt I wore was not meant for places with lack proper conditioning and before long I felt myself running around looking for the nearest aircond outlet. I was freaking sweating like crazy hahahaha .. well at least the place was rather quiet and it was just us occupying the space so that gave us a chance to just sit back and relax and have a good time. As usual time flies when you're having a good time so we bid our farewell and I went back home ... tired and exhausted but happy :)

Saturday morning
The family planned a trip to head to PD for the weekend and I couldn't join them for the whole weekend because of a friend's wedding dinner which I cannot miss. So I did the next best thing, followed them there and had fun until the evening where I drove back all the way to KL. I honestly had loads of fun. Didn't know PD could be quite fun especially when you have silly people around :D We ended up going to the ostrich farm where we took loads of pictures and were half afraid to go anywhere near those creatures that were higher than us ... was rather tired after all that but had to rush back to KL.

Saturday evening
Manage to get back in KL on time despite the horrible jam in PD due to the elections. On the way to KL there was this two stupid black cars with Johor plates practically racing on the road, weaving in and out of traffic. About 10-15 mins later there was a sudden crawl and I was hoping that it was them and there was the stupid black camry at the side of the road. Bagus !!!

Rushed home to shower and then rushed back out again to attend a wedding dinner. It was great to meet up familiar faces and catch up with those that I haven't seen in ages. The married couple looked very happy and I'm so happy for the bride for finally finding someone she can spend the rest of her life with. She's a close friend and was always on the lookout for her friends ensuring that people around her are okay. She has since then changed slightly but her happiness means a lot to us so we're happy to see her happy 'nuff said.

Met May and her friend and we started chatting and catching up on the times we've not seen each other. She seems a little stressed with work and all but is planning to continue her studies in Sydney which is great news.

Amazing isn't it ....

I find it amazing that even after weeks and months of not speaking to each other the feelings and emotions still linger ... the feeling of dissapointment and love colliding and making it all so confusing ... Being treated like the invisble man is also taking it's toll ... and what's even more amazing is after all this while the water works still turn on at unexpected moments ... why ?? Why do I still feel so strongly for someone that doesn't even acknowledge my existence ? Why do I still think it's something worth fighting for and whatever the issues is, it can be talked about and resolved ... or is it only me who is just hoping and wishing ... to top it all off I've been hearing not so nice things about her .. and to add salt to the open wound .. I also heard she has been saying not so nice things about me ... wow ... it's not enough to get stabbed right in the heart but now the knife is being twisted and turned inside of me ... now isn't that just amazing ??

A phone call

It often is amazing how one phone call can either make or break your today. Today was such a day and this is one phone call I was never expecting and if only I knew who the caller was I would have never even aswered the phone ... arrrgggghhhhhhh ... just feeling really down at the moment ..

After months and years since the last incident .. this person still has the nerve to call and demand that I pay my dues ... excuse me but I think I've done more than I should have in the first place and though I'm not one who can be cold hearted or without empathy but this time around this is just way too much ...

If you need help just ask, don't go around acting all superior and make it sound as though it's my responsibility or duty to bail you out of trouble whenever shit hits the fan ... I've tried to help as much as possible and do the best I can .. yes most that I've done is not in monetary form but is that what you really are looking for ? Isn't sincerity or the willingness to help a person in need much more valueable than that ?? At the end of the day does it all boils down to dollars and cents ?

If it is then I'm sorry ... I have enough of my own problems in that area and don't need you to make me feel like I'm ungrateful for the help I received in the past .. I am and I've never forgotten all that's happened ... I have forgiven you but I've never forgotten how I've been treated as well ... Respect me and the help I've been giving even when I didn't have too .. especially after all that you put me through .. this is where I draw the line .. I have a life and I need to take care of my own situation as well ... I do hope you manage to work things out cause threatening me is definitely not the way ...

09.09.2009

So apparently this was suppose to be a good auspicious day with the date being 09.09.09. Well it certainly did not start that way for me.

Woke up a litte late today and was rushing to get ready to leave for work. As I was about to leave, I got a call from a colleague stating that one of the client's website is still having issues and it was worst than yesterday. I booted up my computer and checked it from home and true enough the webpage barely was loading. Tried some troubleshooting from home and could find no fault with the server or the application. So left home around 9ish am.

As I reached Puchong Bandar Puteri the cars were starting to crawl and I had no idea why there was such a massive jam after 9am. I crawled through the jam for 1hr 30min until the Puchong toll heading towards Cyberjaya. Tooke me another 15-20 mins to reach Cyberjaya. What I heard from colleagues is that apparently there's a burst pipe after the puchong toll heading to cyberjaya which happened early in the morning around 5am-ish .. in the early morning traffic was blocked and diverted somewhere else .. What a lovely way to start the day.

So now to concentrate on the internet issue. From the first day the issue happened we have told the IT support guys that nothing is wrong with the server or the application and it's most likely the Jaring line itself and they need to contact Jaring to find out what's wrong. Instead of listening to me they went about doing their normal troubleshooting cause they are the experts and not me. Fineeeeeeee .. clients complaint it's not my responsibility then.

5 days later after numerous troubleshooting in the server room they finally concluded that nothing is wrong on the network and server side and decided to contact Jaring. Few hours later the issue was resolved. Gahhhhhhhhhhhhh ... god damn proffesionals who can't take a suggestion and instead do it their own way. At least now they will start listening to me more !!!! dumbasssssssssssssssssesssssssssss

So anyway, I was meeting a friend later tonight for dinner and to watch a movie, The Gamer. She won two tickets and asked me to join her. So we reached 1 Utama around 6ish and was collect the ticket at around 7pm. Since it was still early we walked around a bit and we made our way to collect the tickets. We thought we were early but there was already a long queue for the ticket collection. So we queued up and waited our turn when suddenly one her friend appeared and said that we were in the wrong queue and she led us to the correct one. Thank god we were like the 3rd one in the queue hahahaha the other queue was for people to collect ticket from some coupon in The Star.

So we stood there in line chatting away when I suddenly spotted someone familiar in the long queue. I looked again to make sure it was someone I recognised and it definitely was. I immediately turned back and told her that I spotted someone I know and she was like .. who was it and I told her it was an ex-gf ... hahahaha she immediately turned around and asked where where ?!?!?! hahahaha so I pointed out and told her which one it was and she kept asking if it's the girl with the old man ??? hahahaha I said what old man ?? So I turned around and told her which one it was and she said yeah la that girl with the old man .. I immediately broke down laughing hahahaha .. she asked me if I was upset and I said nope .. it's been ages since I've met her .. almost 2 years or more in fact ... she kept telling me how lucky I am to not be involved with someone like that anymore .. after all it's her loss !!! hhahahahah what a wonderful friend I have :D So anyway my-ex walked by us in our line and I just said hi and introduced my friend to her .. they said hi and she didn't even introduce her bf ... hahahhaha ... I wonder whyyyyyyyyyyyy .... LOL

So after collecting our ticket we made our way to Friday's where we shared a meal coz none of us felt like having a full meal. While being shown to our seat I saw the most beautiful sight ever. A family of 6-7 sitting down and having dinner. What's so amazing about it ? Well it was because it was a family of different races sitting down together to buka puasa. It was just beautiful to see a family with different religion and culture being together. So we had our dinner and then made it up for the movie. It was a little dissapointing though. Great effects and sounds but the story line just sucks.

So that ends the interesting day I had ... 09.09.09 ... indeed was a day full of surprises !! hahahahah

here.i.am

So after such a long hiatus, I find myself in the same situation I always do. Heartbroken and alone .. hahahahaha the story of my life. Haven't blogged in ages because of certain circumstances and now since that circumstances has changed I can once again start penning down my thoughts and experiences through my so called life .. so look out for more updates !!! :D

Also thanks to certain friends who have been pushing me to update my blog .. your request made a difference .. eh so interesting meh read my blog ?? :P hahahahahah

The merdeka weekend

The merdeka weekend
I remember not really enjoying my merdeka last year but this year I celebrated it with a bang and had the time of my life. Though it involves some alcohol but mattered more was that I spent it with people who mattered and bothered. I'm gonna attempt the impossible and try to write about my very interesting weekend though I'm pretty sure I'll be missing bits and pieces in between hahahaha

Saturday 30th August 2008
I reached back KL after my trip early Saturday morning. Was pretty darn tired so slept a while and woke up around lunch time. Decided to head out to get my car windscreen repaired as the insurance is going to expire soon. Did some research and found a place in Puchong that does a reasonable job for a reasonable price.

While waiting for them to finish the work I decided to head over to IOI for some shopping. Haven’t been there in ages and wow was I surprised to see the amount of people there. Got myself some stuff and had lunch as well.

Rushed back home after that because there was the Monash ball thingy that I had to attend which was at 6pm. Got ready and rushed to Sunway only to reach there around 6:30pm or so. Someone said there was going to be free flow and there was free flow alright .. free flow of cordial drinks !!! hahahaha I think many were disappointed.

We were ushered to the VIP area cause apparently our table is right in front and we got 2 tables. Thank god this time we could sit wherever we want and it was more relaxed with performances from the students but what was disappointing was that it was a buffet dinner and not a sit down dinner but at the same time it allowed us to do some mingling around though not with everyone … LOL …

I got a sms earlier asking if I wanted to join her and her friends for a small get together at her place to which I answered I’ll call her when I’m done with dinner cause I have no idea how long it will take. On the other hand I know for sure the gang are heading to velvet to party the night away .. as much as I wanted to go out and meet the gang, clubbing was the last thing I wanted to be doing especially after such a long day so I opted to head to her party due to other obvious reasons as well hahahaha.

In a nutshell I don’t regret going there at all and had a very good time counting down to merdeka ;)

Sunday 31st August 2008
Woke up quite late after an interesting night out and lazed around at home preparing to go for the bbq party at night. I was left in charge of getting ice and luckily I had the ice cooler around so I got 6 bags of ice and made my way to Iv’s place. I was one of the earliest to arrive so I helped carry the things down and proceeded to start the fire.

Soon after everyone started arriving and food was consumed and bottles were opened. As the night progressed there were some there were thrown in the pool and some who volunteered and jumped in themselves hahaahah damn funny

Apparently people were complaining that we were making too much noise so we packed up and made our way to Ivy’s place where the party continued though not for everyone as most decided to leave by then.

We started playing this stupid card game. Cards were laid out and everyone takes a card and places it on the forehead. The one with the smallest number losses and needs to drink. Suffice to say by the time we were done playing there were many people who couldn’t even walk straight and some who didn’t even know what happened when they got up the next morning !!!! It was pure madness and it was nice to have a chilled out night with friends that don’t mind making an arse of themselves.

Monday 1st September 2008
Met up for lunch with a friend after numerous delays !! hahahah finally after so long we took the time to catch up. Plans were made to have lunch and then catch up and then see how things went then decide if we wanted to catch a movie. Well it was an interesting day out and I shall leave out the details for now because I want to !!! hahahahaha .... we met up at 1pm for lunch and we went back at 8pm after a movie so all in all it was an interesting day out and we're suppose to meetup to catch up again soon because we still haven't finished talking about stuff and there's a lot more in the pipeline !!! hahahahaah

Went back home for dinner cause it's my mum's birthday and I took my parents out to Mid Valley to have thai food but we were busy shopping and lost track of the time and by the time we went to the restaurant it was closing. So I took them to the one in Cheras instead where "she" used to work. Don't know why I always seem to go places where I'm reminded of her hahahahaha ... too bad it was just a split second kinda thing and we had an awesome meal ... went back home dead tired and crashed

Reflections

It's funny how fast time flies especially when I've been travelling so much this month. Here I am now in a hotel room watching a dvd waiting to check out to catch my next flight to yet another place. At the same time all this travelling and going around gives me a lot of time to be alone and a lot of time to do some thinking and reflection.

Here are somethings that has happened to me the past few weeks that I want to remember and keep track of so I'm gonna write about it :)

The japanese lunch

I haven't seen the girls in ages and decided to take this opportunity to catch up with them before I flew. Plans were made to meetup in Pyramid for Japanese and the funny thing was it was the same chain of restaurant I went for dinner the other night so I knew exactly what to order and what I wanted to eat. At the same time Avril called me stating that her sis is there for the Avril lookalike contest and asked me to go and support. I was there awhile to lend support and when they took a break I decided to go get lunch as well since I was already freaking hungry.

When I got there they were already eating and I ordered my food. Tried the dragon roll and caterpillar roll as well which was awesome !! We manage to catch up a bit on what's happening and obviously the topic of the day would be the drama Ms Ong is going through. Sometimes I pity the things she has to go through !!! hahahahaha This latest drama involves a certain ex gf of the guy that she is currently hanging out with and she got a nasty email from the ex gf. What a bitch, though it sounds so noble of the ex gf but there's a reason why she's the ex and no more together with the guy right ? So she should just learn to accept things and not butt into other people's business.

We sat there and yacked and ate dessert and ordered even more dessert !!! hahahah the table beside us changed people 3 times and we were still there eating and drinking and yacking !!!

The Friday night

Yet another night out with friends. Viv was down for the weekend from Penang and plans were made to meet up for dinner at the Fish place in Ikano. It was good seeing faces of poeple whom I haven't seen in ages. There's Ting back from Taiwan. There Kelvin who we just celebrated his birthday with. There ST whom I haven't seen in ages as well. It was a good night with loads of laughter, screaming and shouting and I think I was the major contributor to all of them !! hahahaha well what can I say .. I like a good laugh and there's nothing better than to share that laughter with your friends. Mr Sim was around the area for dinner and we were suppose to meet up after dinner for a few drinks but little did any of us know the things that were in store for us that night !! hahahaha .. definitely one night which neither of us will be forgetting anytime soon !!! In fact I wonder if I should even be writing about it in the first place .. hmmmmmm ... maybe I will maybe I won't .. lemme think about it :P

I wasn't really sure what the agenda for the night was and I was equally as surprised as the birthday boys when a cake was brought out to celeberate the August babies. There were three of them and I think Kelvin was shocked over the whole thing. No wonder they were asked to sit together so it was easier to attack them !! hahaha There were a few faces which I was not familiar with so I never really talked with them. Lazy laaaaaaa :p

After the fish place the rest wanted to go and continue the night over at Bebee's place playing board games but I already had plans so I asked Cody, Ting, Wai and Kelvin if they wanted to join me for drinks and surprisingly they did. Met up with uncle sim and we went over to the apartment for drinks. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea for them to meet cause of the different personalities but overall it was fun and we had some good laugh and some of them were at the expense of Kelvin with his Ipoh drunk stories obviously !!! hahahahah the story will never get old I tell you :D

Called up Avril to find out what's the plan as it was Alicia's birthday and plans were made to meet up at TTDI and uncle Sim wanted to follow as well since he didn't have transport home. Cody,Ting, Wai and Kelvin made their way home while me and uncle sim continued on the night at TTDI. I told uncle sim that it was going to be a quiet night as most people we knew that hangs out at Wabi were out of town but we definitely were in for a shock least to say !!! hahahaha

Reached there just in time as everyone was just about finished singing Alicia her birthday song. Gave her a little hug and before I knew it I started meeting so many people I knew and made some friends with some people I didn't know !! hahahah

The dinner

It's been ages since all 4 of us gathered and it was great fun. Ms Tham, myelf, Mr and Mrs Sim met up for dinner before my overseas trip. I had things to do on Friday and even the weekend. We had dinner at the seafood restaurant in Kayu Ara and this would make it my second time that I'm there for dinner. We had a variety of dishes with crabs being one of the main dish. It was my treat this time and when dinner was over we just sat there talking about stuff and though we were suppose to meet at 7:30pm it was more like 8pm by the time all of us were there and we left slightly before 12am !! We practically just talked the night away and as usual we had our usual lame jokes challenge and Ms. Tham was totally not prepared so we owned the ladies !!! hahahah There's something about Ms Tham that just doesn't seem right but oh well as long is everyone is having fun no harm done I guess.

dinner + dessert + serenade + beer = AWESOME !!!

I can't remember the last time I've actually gone out with the intention of wanting to know more about someone. Actually I know exactly when and it's been that freaking long for me to be curious about someone else but I guess good things really come to those who wait.

It took quite a bit of courage of actually asking the person out but after much thinking the worst that could happen was she would say no or she might not be free but obviously that didn't happen and plans were made to meetup tonight. The meeting was set at 7:30 pm for dinner but as I was heading there I got an sms asking if we could meet at 8pm instead which was fine by me. When 8pm came another sms came stating that she was following Malaysian timing which basically meant she would be late. Hmmmm this wasn't starting to look very good and I was having second thoughts about the whole thing but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Finally she arrived at 8:30pm making me wait for 1 1/2 hours. Okay nevermind that she was late, I didn't want to start the night on the wrong foot so I put on a smile and push any negative thoughts I had aside. We went to a Japanese restaurant where we had an amazing dinner and we started talking about stuff and suprisingly there wasn't a dull quiet moment. We kept talking and talking about stuff, about us, about people around us.

After a while, once dinner was over we decided to head for dessert and seeing as to how most shops in the shopping center closes early we drove out but there lies the problem as to how we are going to solve the car issue as both of us drove. She came up with a brilliant solution and instead of stressing over the whole situation it was settled in less than 5 minutes. I'm impressed :D

We ended up in baskin robbins where she wanted to play me a song. Earlier in the day she said she was playing the guitar during lunch and I jokingly said she must make sure she plays for me later when we meet and to my surprise she answered yes and what surprised me even more is that she actually brought the guitar along !!!! As we finished our ice cream suddenly out of nowhere music was being played over the stereo. I guess people were cleaning up and were blasting the music or something.

We walked around looking for a nice quiet place and we finally found one. She whipped out the guitar and I could sense her nervousness but at the same time I had utmost admiration and respect that she actually kept her word and is going through with the whole thing.

She started by playing one of Mia's song Sayang. Can you believe it ?!?!? Another Mia lover !!! OMG I felt as though I had died and gone to heaven !! I tried so hard not to stare at her but it was difficult ahahha and I think it was quite obvious as well so I had to look away once in a while :D She finally finishes and I was just awed and left speechless. She was really good and with the encouragement she continued on with another song and this time it was Cranberries Dreaming My Dream and I really thought I was dreaming alright. After yet another stellar performance she sang a Beatles number this time titled Blackbird. I was just mesmerised. She continued on and sang Bic Runga Sway !!! OMG she likes Bic Runga as well !!!! I seriously was in heaven now :D She sang one last number which I can't really remember the title cause I think I've only heard it once or twice before. - The song is called 3 Libra's by A Perfect Circle.

Can you believe it ?!?! A lady is singing songs for me !!!! hahahahaha not 1 or 2 or 3 but 5 songs !!! I really was in cloud nine :D The mosquitoes were killing us by then and we decided to call it a night before we get chased by the security guards or something :D Made our way back to the car and I drove her back home but before heading back she suggested we stop for a beer because her housemate was not back yet and so there we were in a bar nearby having a beer continuing our interesting night out.

Finally her friend came and we had to call it a night. It's amazing how time flies when you're with someone you really enjoy spending time with. I was always afraid of going out alone with someone for in fear of running out of things to say or talk about but I guess when you're with someone you are comfortable with a simple question could result in a full on discussion leading to anywhere and everywhere. Would I want to go out with her again ? That would be a big YES :)

The ikan bakar birthday

It was just another usual day in the office and left home on time as usual but this time the difference was it was Kelvin's birthday and the only way I knew this is because I had it keyed in my mobile. Calls were made to confirm the fact and I even called him out for dinner.

Of all the people to call I called ST to reconfirm the date and she was blur as usual !! hahahah she tried to call and find out but at the end of the whole thing she just called Kelvin and wished him happy birthday .. aiyoooo .. no more surpise la like this. What's even funnier is that she even asked him what cakes he likes so that we will not end up wasting the cake !! This woman I tell you .. sometimes don't know choke her to death or just laugh at her la hahahha

So we met up for dinner at our favourite ikan bakar shop and manage to get a few people to come along as well. It was good catching up with familiar faces and chat like how we used to. Need to make a point to come out more often :)

The movie

It's been ages since I had the time to catch up with my friends and today I made a point to do so. We met up for drinks in Coffeebean where we talked and talked and before we knew it, it was time for our movie. We went to watch Wall-e and it was hilarious though I'm not too sure if Ms Tan enjoyed the movie that much. She was rather quiet hahahah but I enjoyed it and when Eva realised what Wall-e did for her when she was in "hibernation" mode was sooooo touching. The movie was basically about global warming and how we are heading towards our own destruction but for me it showed that all things be it human, nature or even mechanical want to survive and when the computer knew it was going to be obsolete especially when humans went back to earth it tried to stop them. Plus the whole getting along without talking is so funny. Wall-e and Eva really made a lovely "couple" complementing each other. I don't know why but I like to see what lessons I can bring away with me after a movie/show and some of them have really left an impact and made a change in my perception of certain matters.
