It's Monday !!

After a long and tiring weekend with 2-3 hours sleep a day, it's finally Monday. I know the last few posts were rather weird and full of emotions and I sounded depressed but it's just one of those days when I suddenly was overwhelmed with feelings and thoughts and ideas and questions and many thanks to those that kept me company and tried digging further to see what was bugging me. Nothing in particular but everything in general .. hahaha does that sum it up nicely ?

Well so far it's been a great Monday with a few hiccups that was overcome with some extra hard work. More like taking the cane and monitoring little kids to ensure they do their work. Oh well somebody has to be the bad guy once in a while so might as well I start polishing my bad boy skills ... hahahahahahaah

I had lunch with a colleague and I was feeling sleepy and someone gave a great idea to go and get some coffee. Visited my second home and got a cup of iced latte. I know it's different than my usual Americano but hey I'm trying out new things ok :D

Had some good news this morning and I was in such a happy mood and decided to share it with someone and had an interesting conversation while my colleague was trying hard to read the newspaper hahahah. Ahhhh this is the life. Sitting down in Starbucks on a Monday afternoon sipping a cup of coffee and having a good laugh. If only it could last longer than an hour.

Manage to settle most of today's issues and now I'm back in the office with a silly grin on my face. I guess the sleepless nights over the weekend paid off in it's own funny kind of way. Just have to go with the flow I guess and not fight the current and risk drowning :D

Won't you do something for me ??

Have been playing this song a lot lately and with all that's been happening to my family and extended family I can't help but to wonder what might become of me when my time is up and this song somehow connects to me at this exact moment. Won't you do something for me ?? It's Nickindia by Nerina Pallot

An idle mind is the devil's playground

Spent the whole day yesterday in Malacca with friends and it was a lovely trip though we didn't get to go every place that was planned but we managed to visit the important places like chicken rice ball and satay celup .. hahahahah ... pictures later ..

After being out and about for almost 19 hours finally reached home close to 2am and sleeping around 2:30am I find myself awake at 6am.... arrghhhhhh .. tried to go back to sleep again but can't so here I am typing this post...ahhahaha

Though yesterday was filled with laughter and fun there came a point where I suddenly found myself detached and wanting to be alone. I thought I was in control of myself but somehow Mr Emotional won the battle last night but only for a short while as I put up a good fight and soon I was my jolly self again.

I blame it on the uncle who was doing the wire mesh art thing for bringing it up and asking us/me that question. I was fine and dandy and forgot about it until I saw him again that night and once again I find myself asking so many other question related to that one question and it got me thinking. I forgot about this feeling, how good and wonderful it could be, how much it could light up the day, how much meaning it has to some while some just take it for granted. I thought I could never feel this way again but I know it's somewhere there deep inside me, it's still there waiting and wanting to come out just waiting for the right time BUT because of the bitter taste that still lingers around it is kept well guarded with walls as high as mountains waiting for the right person but then again how do you know who is the right person if you never try and take a chance in the first place ?

Is it the dawn of a brand new day or do I long for yesterday ? It's like taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Knowing that the fire is hot and could burn, do you still go nearer to it for warmth or keep a distance so that you still feel a little heat but never too near for anything to ever catch fire ? Is being afraid a good thing which keeps us within our limits or is it what holds us back from reaching our potential or trying new things ?

Kids have it so easy. If they fall they just pick themselves up and go on their merry way. Some might cry, some might laugh but they forget about their fall in an instant and learn from it and try again. If one way fails, then they try another and another until they succeed doing what they are trying to do. As we grow older we forget that life is about trying and learning and falling once in a while and picking ourselves up and continuing on is okay and normal. Nobody's perfect.

So many questions left unanswered, so many doubts, so many uncertainties but that's what life is about. Nobody has the answer to everything if they did I guess the excitement of life no longer exists.

What am I trying to get at, I don't know just that my head feels heavy and I just wanted to ramble a bit early in the morning trying to fall asleep again. I shall try going back to sleep because all these thinking is leaving me with a freaking headache.

Friday once more

So fast time flies especially when you are having fun. I still remember the events from last Friday especially handing in my assignment and having a huge load taken off my shoulders and going out later in the night to enjoy my freedom but then it's Friday again and I'm going in for yet another module and another class and more lectures and more work and more assignment and more studying ..

Will be taking a break from the hectic KL life and head down to Malacca for a day trip tomorrow if all goes well. It promises to be quite an interesting trip with an even more interesting company. As usual the best way to enjoy any experience is not to expect anything and just accept whatever that happens as the day goes along.

It's funny how much difference a week can make :) I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to it and can't wait for tomorrow. Just hope I can wake up at 5:30 am in the morning .. hahahaha

So long and farewell my darlings

It was such a difficult decision for me yesterday but finally after so long I had to bite the bullet and let go of you. It was time I moved on with my life and at the same time for you to get someone who will take care and appreciate you and let you enjoy the freedom you need instead of just sitting there waiting and hoping for me to one day bring you out and enjoy the time that we once had together.

When I first made the decision to have you in my life, I was also just as afraid and torn in between. I was afraid of the level of commitment I would have to give and at the same time if I had what it takes to make you proud of me so that I wouldn't let you down.

Though you were not ready to be shown to the world when I first got you but with enough time and patience you were finally ready. It took some effort and financially it drained me out but it was all well worth it.

The first time I brought you home to meet my parents they were in shock. They still couldn't believe I would do such a thing but little do they know the amount of fun we will be having. Fun that only I will know and appreciate.

The first time I took you out to show you to my friends I was also just as nervous. I tried my best to not let you down but somehow things didn't go as planned and I left dissapointed and humiliated but at the same time determined to practise more until I was ready once again to bring you out.

After some changes you were once again finally ready. This time around we went for a proper course and I was thought the basics of what I should do and should not do. Before long we were in harmony. Even though there were some mistakes but I could understand and feel what you were telling me. So this was what all the excitement was about. Now I truly understand. Before I got you in my hands, I was skeptical as to the whole hoohaa but now that I've felt the rush I just want more.

There was a point when you were at your best and I was trying to keep up with you. It was difficult at times and even scary in fact. They way you taunt me and push me to the limits was way different than any other. I had to forget about my past and what I've learned and known so far and relearn and adjust myself to this new feeling, this new sensation and tingle that runs through my veins, through my bones to the very heart of my soul. Learning to counter everything you threw at me. Learning when to let go of you and when to pull you back. Learning to gently coax you to do the almost impossible.

Everytime I held you in my hands I could feel the adrenaline rush. Everytime I pushed you, it's as though you asked back is that all you got boy ?? It was such a mixed feeling that left me speechless. I even took you down to the track where I thought you wouldn't enjoy it but boy did you prove me otherwise. Not only did you manage to show everyone what you were made of but you showed me the fun I've never felt before with my previous love. I will always remember the feeling and even now as I type this I could feel my fingers trembling with joy as my heart rate rises.

Time went by and I found another. Even though the feeling and excitement is totally different but I had to neglect you because time didn't permit me to enjoy and spend time with you. Furthermore going out with you required a whole lotsa cash and cash was something I was short of since I started going back to college.

Fast forward a year and after many months of thinking I finally took the courage to make the decision to let you go. It was no easy task but I knew that you will just be left in a corner not enjoying doing what you were meant to do. I still took you out once in a while and everytime I pushed you further, I could feel you patrionising me. We've been through many ups and downs and I will treasure the memories we had together. You shall always be remembered and I hope you have fun and are well taken care of.

Till we meet again here's wishing you the best in all your future endeavours ... I will post some pictures of us together soon so that I can always come back here whenever I think of you, as I walk down memory lane wishing I could once again feel what I have felt once before.

Cloudy Wednesday

After having a lovely Tuesday now it's time to face a bad Wednesday. Woke up and saw the gloomy skies and straight away felt a downer coming my way. Left the house as usual only to be greeted by the 3 red glaring lights on the vehicle in front of me.

Gave up fighting the jam and decided to stop and take a break and have breakfast while waiting for the traffic to subside. Reached the office late and was immediately attacked left right and center with issues which are beyond my control.

To make things worst no one wants to take responsibility and keeps passing the bug to my department. God damn it, we are in charge of technical aspects of the system and we can try our best to help resolve the issues even though 80% of it is not related to our system and now they want us to handle the operation issues also because apparently it's our problem that the data is not appearing.

What a shitty way to start the morning. Woooooshaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ..... breathe in .. breathe out ..

*updates*
Manage to settle most of the problems after chasing around people to do their job. Damn irresponsible .. I hate having to play babysitter but sometimes just have to. At least today evening I will get to unwind and relax and have a good laugh

SMART

Was heading to KL yesterday evening for dinner and noticed that the SMART tunnel is already opened for trial run so decided to give it a try since I'm heading to Sultan Ismail area anyway and it's suppose to make my journey shorter.

I wonder how much the toll rates for SMART tunnel is going to be since the Penchala link is only 5.5km and charges RM 2 for one way where else the smart tunnel is is 9.7km and I believe costs a lot more to build considering it was done underground with high tech equipments.

Speed limit in the tunnel is 60 km/h and vehicles below 2m height are allowed in which is a good thing because I can't imagine what would happen if busses start using the tunnel.

SMART tunnel take you from Sg Besi highway and give you the choice of heading to Jalan Sultan Ismail or Jalan Tun Razak which bring you right into the heart of KL. One thing I don't really like about the tunnel is how rough/uneven the surface of the road is plus not to mention the dust but that's probably because it's still new.

Hopefully the charges won't be too much as I think a lot of people will want to use the tunnel to avoid jams. My only worry is when it rains as we know KL is famous for it's flash flood and being stuck in a tunnel while it's pouring cats and dogs wouldn't be any fun at all. Plus do not even get me started as to what might happen if (touch wood) an accident occours. I keep picturing movie scenes that involves accidents, fires and tunnels hahahahaha but I'm sure the proper measures have been put in place for emergency situations such as this. Until then I'm going to enjoy using the free service to head to KL :D

Trip to Myanmar - Day 1

Finally found the time to do some updates. So as usual woke up early in the morning to do my packing. Imagine doing packing at 6:30am in the morning when I was suppose to be in the airport at 8am hahahahahah it's amazing I didn't miss anything anyway it was a short trip only.

As usual I will pack a book to keep me company in case I get bored on the plane or in the hotel. Still halfway through reading it so will post about it much later. I called Digi before leaving KLIA to ask them if there's roaming in Myanmar and to my dismay they said they didn't have service there. I guess the yellow man hasn't found a partner there yet hahhahah

As usual I find myself being the youngest among everyone that's going. Some of them have kids half my age hahahaha

Took a few aerial shots as well especially before landing. The land looks like it was flooded and we thought it couldn't be and thought it to be some paddy field or something until we spotted some houses around the area as well.

When we landed and I first laid eyes on the airport I was reminded of our Terminal 3 building many years ago while it was still in Subang and this was the international airport.

Welcoming us to wonderful Myanmar

The first thing I did when I got into the room was to see if they had internet access and all I saw was this sign.

Began unpacking and made sure the money I had in hand was kept safely. Wouldn't want all that green to disappear now do we :D

After talking to the embassy guys and settling in we made our way to the market nearby to have a look at the local items. As we turned at the first corner from the hotel we were approached by this guy asking if we wanted to change money and since his rates were good some of them wanted to change their USD's. He led us away from the main road towards a smaller lane and I started to get worried. I mean here we are in a foreign land and this total stranger is leading us away from the main road.

Lukily nothing bad happened and we changed 200 USD and got 240,000 kyat. Now that's a shit load of notes, 240 to be exact. Felt so rich hahahahaah. As we were walking towards the market talking in Malay a local guy approached us and asked if we were from Malaysia. Apparently last time he was working here doing roti canai so he become our unofficial tour guide bringing us around to the shops and helping us get a good price.

After walking around in the market we headed back to the hotel to have our dinner and call it a night to have a good rest before our presentation the next day

There's something about Mary

Yesterday was Mary's birthday and we decided to have a small get together despite the fact that it was mothers day. So we met later at night after everyone was done with their dinner and spending time with their mums.

Since it was after dinner and everyone was still full the plan to get a cake was cancelled but celebrating a birthday without a cake feels weird so I suggested to Estee that we at least get her a slice of cake so that everyone can at least share and help to finish it.

Here's wishing you a Happy Birthday Mary and hope that you get some of your wishes come true soon :)

2007 so far

So far 2007 has proven to be very challenging. I've had many ups and downs and some sweet and bitter memories to add to the already complicating thing called life and juggling between working, studying and setting time aside for my friends.

I'm already halfway done with my masters course and that's a definately a plus. Only 4 more modules to go till I finish the course and I can't wait for it to be over and yet at the same time going back to school has provided to be entertaining yet refreshing at the same time. Have made some new friends as well. Since most of us are part timers we try our best to help each other out whenever possible so that we all at least pass. So far my results has been more than satisfactory and I hope I'm able to continue the pace that I've set.

Work has it's own ups and down which I will not want to get into to much details. I'm up for a promotion and we'll see how that turns out because promises can only mean so much at the end of the day when my payslip shows the much deserved increment only will I believe it. As a bonus I've been to a few places for business trip and that made up for it somewhat. Plus with all the games we've been having it gives us the staff to release some stress and in someway bond outside of the office.

Things at home have not been too good as well. With my grandmother passing away recently and then my aunt's house getting robbed. Luckily no one got hurt in the process. To top it all off when I was in Myanmar a family member in my extended family passed away. As if that's not enough another extended family member passed away yesterday. Though I was not very close to them and only meet once in a while it still makes you wonder and want to treasure the people around you even more and take the chance to spend as much time as possible with them.

I've been going out with my friends and enjoying my time with them. I've also met a lot of new people and some of them are lovely awesome people while others I can live without. I've enough drama and issues in my life without others adding salt to the already open wounds. I'm still in the healing process and though it's been a while sometimes the memories just come pouring back in and you're left there alone wondering if somehow you did something different things might not have turned out this way. Oh well I always believe things happen for a reason and I'll try to make the best of things and leave the rest up to the man.

It's like buying a bag of mixed nuts. Sometimes when you grab a handful you will geta few nuts that you don't like and you're left with the choice of throwing them away or eating them even though you don't like it. Hope there's not too many suprises left though if it was something good it would be nice for a change after all the bad things that has been happening lately. I need to take a break soon from the rat race and just sit back relax with people who matter.

Happy Mothers day

Woke up early today only to find an empty home. Parents must have gone out early in the morning. Will have to see what can be done tonight for mum. Might go out later for lunch and get her something for mothers day. Still deciding what would be suitable. Already got her a pearl bracelet from my trip in Myanmar, might get her some flowers or cake depending on availability.

Bowling tourney

Imagine sleeping at 6am after partying the night before only to wake up at 8am and get ready to go for a bowling tournament ... hahahahah MADNESS !!!

Woke up with a heavy head and hoping I could skip today but the company is holding a bowling tournament and my group is currently in second place so we need the points to ensure that we stay there after our straight win in badminton the pressure and tension between groups was building up. Reached there at 9am only to find out that we had to be there at 9:30am .. arrrgghhhh I hate being early but gave me a chance to fill my tummy with some much needed caffeine.

After explaining the rules and regulations and we were on our way. I had to ensure my body was pumped with caffeine and sugar so that I don't doze off and have enough energy to throw the damn ball.

Finally we were done by around 1pm and we head over for lunch. Some of us had made movie booking for Spiderman 3 as well so after lunch we just lingered around Mines until 3:30pm. Watching a movie while being sleepy is no fun at all. I think I missed a few scenes as well especially when there was just too much talking and not much action.

Reached home around 6:45pm just in time for a shower before heading out for dinner. Did I already mentioned that I love my weekends !!!! ahahahahha That is until my classes start again ...

Aloha !!!

After handing in my assignment it was time to celebrate my new found freedom. Lyn made sure that I agreed to go out clubbing with her and Estee and a few other friends. Was talking to Estee and making plans as to what time we should be there when she told me that Sze Mei will be joining us. I mean like SZE MEI ??? hahahahah I would never imagine her for someone who wants to go drinking yet alone clubbing. She's looks like those serious type who doesn't really enjoy clubbing hence the shock in my voice.

Picked up Estee and Sze Mei and we headed over to Aloha. Since it's my first time there I have no idea what to expect. We were early as usual thanks to my impeccable timing. While waiting outside the entrance and observing the people entering we were having doubts because ermm first of all the music being played is like fengtauish and the crowd is "different". Lyn arrived later with more friends Jack, Jessica, Rexine and a few others whose name I can't recall.

After much discussion and debate as to enter or not we finally found ourselves at the queue to enter. Ended up opening a bottle of black label. Everyone went in and I noticed Estee and Sze Mei were not behind me. Turned around and saw they got stopped to get checked for their ID and Estee could show her shocked face at the guy telling him she's 22 and not underage. hahahhahaha damn funny lor the expression on her face.

We manage to find a table and before long the drinks were flowing and the people were dancing and this is when I was approached by this guy in a pink shirt and suddenly we became buddies. I mean it's quite common for people in the next table to just drop by have a toast or two and walk away but this one quite different experience lor. It's like every time I turned around he was nearby hahahahahah

The mission to get Sze Mei high failed but instead Estee became the victim as she got acquainted with Uncle Jack and he took her to a happy place. She had this blur look on her face the whole night hahahahahahaha priceless.

Since Estee was a kayu and it's Sze Mei first time in a club plus with the packed dance floor we had hardly any space to move and we even had the chance to meet another stalker but this one was even more scarier cause he like just appeared out of no where and just stood there staring at us while we were dancing. It was as though he was getting high standing there staring. Really sent chills down my spine. Lotsa weird people around nowadays.

Jack was giving dancing lessons to Estee and Sze Mei forcing them to move around instead of just standing there kayu-ing. Rexine was in a whole different level on her own and boy can she move. So I decided to join her. Now whenever I hear Akon's Don't Matter it will remind me of Rexine :)

We were practically the last ones to leave there and head over to the nearby mamak to have a drink and let the traffic subside. Finally after saying our goodbyes and sending Estee and Sze Mei back I was home at 6am in the morning only having to wake up again at 8am !!!! I love my weekends .. hahahahah

I'M BACK !!!

Yesssssssssssssssss ... finally I'm back in the comforts of my home. The trip to Myanmar was awesome though the place is a little laid back and things we take for granted are a luxury there. Got back yesterday evening and was so damn tired. Took a shower, had dinner and watched Heroes Chapter 21 and fell asleep after that.

Woke up this morning and realised I forgot to set my alarm but luckily I made it in time to work. Was busy the whole day with meetings and catching up with emails and the latest happenings in the office. The fact that my assignment is due tomorrow doesn't makes things any easier.

So no updates on the trip until I'm free and got all my things organised hahahaha until then the news of me returning back to KL will just have to do I guess :D

Min ga la baa from Myanmar

Min ga la baa ... ahhhhh life in Myanmar is sooooooo different compared to KL. USD is highly appreciated and even if you don't have the local currency you can survive just on USD itself. A bottle of mineral water is 200 kyat. A can of coke is 800 kyat.

Now I'm using the internet in the business center. Just wanted to say hello from Myanmar and I'm still alive and surviving hahahha Can't wait to be back

Up up and away

On the way to the airport now am suppose to meet the rest of them arounf 8am so I'll be just in time. Thank god I decided to take the KLIA express instead of driving cause it's pouring cats and dogs but on the other hand how I wish I was back home in my warm bed sleeping.

Will be going Myanmar for a few days and I have no idea if I'll have internet connection so no updates till I'm back I guess. Don't miss me too much yah :) hugs n kisses

Yes finally

Finally it's over and done with. Now I can delete some information and keep my brain open for even more input.

The paper wasn't as bad as I expected though I know I got one or two formulas wrong but that should not matter too much.

Now to enjoy the rest of the evening before flying off to Myanmar tomorrow morning for work.
