Back to life, back to reality

Back to work after a very long break and one helluva weekend. Now I'm sitting here in the office trying to recall what I have done during my past week and try adding some entries to my blog. One thing for sure I've had more fun in this one week than I have had this whole year. Thanks to all my friends for having me be a part of this wonderful experience. Cheers man .. you people rock !!!!

Random is as random does

This is one of the most random thing I've ever done in my life. I called someone (BV) all the way in UK just to wake BV up and it's not like I know BV very well either. Hahahahha OMG and while I may not know BV very well I find talking to BV very fun and entertaining. It's like we can just talk about nothing and still have a decent conversation. I believe everything happens for a reason. It's all rather interesting I tell you hahahahhaha .. CHANGE I AM !!! :D

The Saturday - Part 2 (Zouk - Velvet Undergound)

So I told TN that I will be there ASAP so bid farewell to CT and to KL I drove. Reached Zouk like around 1am and TN asked me to park the car at the Maya Hotel. Parked the car and proceeded to Zouk and called TN he asked me to wait while he settles the entrance for me. TN got PR in Zouk .. ahhahahaah .. thanks a lot bro ... you the man !!! :D

First time there and TN brought me to Velvet Underground. The place was damn packed man and met up with AA, AD,KK and a few other people. We were having a good time, the company was awesome and the music was superb. In between all the dancing and drinking we manage to take pictures also and TN the camwhore manages to strike a pose whenever he detects the presence of a camera hahahaha ... and before we knew it the lights came on and it was time to say good bye. We sat a while continuing to take pictures as it was KK's birthday, once most of the people were gone we headed back out to the entrance.

When we got there we couldn't help but notice this one guy holding a manequin (half body transparent type) and he was obviously wasted and kept asking everyone passing by to squeeze the manequin's boobs. Hahahahah TN was approached by him and was forced to carress the boobs but he refused .. ahhahaha but KK who was also a little high joined in the fun .. haahha .. they then decided to head to somewhere in Petaling Street to have something to eat.

Since I had no idea where the place was I asked TN to follow me while AD and AA went together. While we were walking to the car we met the drunkard with the manequin again .. I wasn't looking at where I was walking and walked into this water/pool thingy in the hotel and the drunkard who thought I was having fun without him decided to jump in as well I was trying to get out and he kept pulling me back in. Lucky his friend came to my rescue and both of them stumbled into the water together .. ahahahh that's when the security came shouting at us. Me and TN got out of there as soon as possible.

As we head out of the hotel parking there was a car on the opposite direction and smoke was coming out of the car and people were starting to crowd around. We thought the car broke down or something but as we approached nearer we saw the car got involved in an accident right in front of Zouk entrace. Good luck to them when the police arrives. So we reached the makan place and we were the last ones there. While we were eating KK kept thanking everyone for coming and kept telling us he was drunk. Hahahahahaa .. damn farneeeeee ... so after makan it was time to go back .. reached home like 5 am or so and straight away fell asleep. Was damn bloody tired and the next day I need to wake up for the movie. It was one helluva night and it was fun though I wished it would have lasted a little longer. Felt like damn fast the time went by.

The Saturday - Part 1 (Pool Party)

So it was Saturday and almost half the day was gone. With nothing to do the next day decided to catch a movie and headed to Cineleisure to get the tickets. Have heard some good things about The Prestige so decided to see that. Called up CT to see if CT was interested in watching or not since the rest of my friends already watched the show. CT agreed and so I got the tickets. I haven't been there before so this will be my first time in Cineleisure. The place seems decent enough.

After I got the tickets called up TN to find out what the plans was for the night and TN was in Starbucks having a drink and said most probably they will be heading out later around 9 or 10pm as they wanted to check out a few places first before ending up in Zouk. Called up CT and informed I got the tickets at the same time CT asked me my plans for tonight and told CT that will be heading down to Zouk tonight much later so since I had no dinner plans CT invited me to join a small pool party and everyone will be bringing food. So I headed over to Tesco to get some pizza as I have no idea what else to buy and CT said buy what I felt like eating and I felt like eating pizza. hahahahah.

As I was walking through the Curve I bumped into TN who was with AC, what are the chances of that cause I thought he was somewhere else. So I joined them a while enjoying the Saturday evening view. Few minutes later another friend JS joined us as well. After about 1/2 hour I decided to go get the pizza and bid the guys farewell but not before confirming the plans with TN first for tonite.

So I got the pizza and arrived at CT place and we head over to the pool. There were already some people around and there was this guy Adrian trying to start the fire. OMG they were having a barbeque and here I'm walking in with pizza in my hand. CT grrrrrrrr never tell me also that it's a barbeque if not I would have gotten something else. Oh well at least we'll have something to eat while waiting for the food to be grilled/cooked.

So everyone started coming one by one and by 8pm after me and CT took over the barbie pit we were ready for some action. The coal were glowing red and the food was cooking. There were about 10-12 people in total including me and CT with 3-4 bottles of alcohol. Muahahahahha .. awesomeness. Started off with vodka ribena. Hahaha .. taste kinda okay first time trying that usually it's vodka orange. Most of them basically knew each other and were college/uni/working mates so was feeling kinda left out but never mind I still had my vodka to keep me company.

As the night went on and everyone enjoying the food and drinks and sitting down chatting, CT who was working up a sweat being beside the pit most of the time decided to jump into the pool. That's when the fun began. Slowly one by one everyone was thrown into the pool hahahah it was damn hilarious cause one guy was practically stripped before being thrown into the pool by two gorgeous looking women some more. Lucky bastard. Hahahahha. Not only was he forced into the pool by two ladies but once he was in the pool they also got in and when they got out the poor guy was left in the pool only in his underwear hahahaha lucky it was already night and you can't really see much. So there he was in the pool begging for his shorts back. Better him than me though having two females trying to strip me would be a whole new experience on it's own hahahahahaha

So after most of them were already thrown in the pool there was a handfull of us left who were still dry and the attention was suddenly focused on me .. I was like .. don't you all dare !!! i wanna go partying laterrrrrrr .. ahhahahah .. so thank god they believed me and left me alone or else I would have to go back and change before heading out again .. so as the night went by and drinks slowly finishing, they decided to call it a night and I began starting to feel the effects of all the drinks was wondering what time was it and why TN hasn't call me yet and it was already 11+pm ahhhhh ... TN apa jadi ?? hahahaha .. helped them to cleanup the place and then I helped CT to carry the leftover back to the apartment where we were joined by two other friends who wanted to change because they brought extra clothes in anticipation of being thrown into the pool. Obviously this is not the first time this has happened. hahaha

So sat around CT's place chilling while waiting for the brain to clear up a bit from all the drinking. I think about 1/2 hr later TN called and said they are heading to Zouk now, I think TN also must have had one too many la until forgot to call. Hahahahah .. soooo the 2nd part of the night was spent in zouk ... to be continued .. hahahaha

Dinner and a movie

Called up TN to see if he was free for lunch and TN was busy in KL looking at handphones and told me that they will be meeting up for dinner instead. So I met another friend of mine AU for lunch in Klang instead. TN then called me and said they will be meeting up around 8ish for dinner. I wasn't even aware of the time and me and AU have been sitting there for almost 3+ hours just chatting. Hahahahahha .. time flies man.

Head over to 1U to pick TN up and then we headed to Chili's. TN said they will be watching a movie later and asked if I wanted to join. Since I had nothing better to do I obviously didn't turn down the offer. Since we were there earlier and there was a queue in Chili's we put our names on the waiting list first. We hoped over to GSC to get tickets for the movie. TN already got tickets much earlier and we were hoping to at least be able to get a ticket on the same row. So when it was our turn at the counter we asked for The Covenant and the guy looked at the screen and said no shows today only tomorrow so we were trying to look for The Covenant on the list as well and to our suprise it wasn't there. TN was like WTF dude I bought tickets for the show and proceeded to show the guy his ticket. Then he who was equally suprised took it to show the manager and then no idea what the manager did and the movie was on the list again. To our amazement I was able to get seats beside them and I think they haven't sold many tickets since TN bought the ticket a few nights back. Just my luck ... hahahaha

So we head over to Chili's where we were joined by AA and AD. I haven't been to Chili's in ages I think the last time being almost 10 years ago. Ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta thingy while TN ordered a burger and I forgot what AA ordered while AD was on a liquid diet. We had a round of VB (Victoria Bitter) while enjoying our dinner and as usual taking crap. TN was called up half way through dinner to submit his weekly progress report to the high council .. hahahaha .. AD's phone was ringing non stop as well. What amazes me the most is how AD has different greeting for each person that calls. Not personalised ring tones but his own personalised greeting. Hahahahah .. for one person it could be "Wassup", for another "Sup bitch", for people he don't know it was "Hello" hahahahahah ...

After dinner was done we had another round of VB and that's when we could sit back and relax and enjoy the view the place has to offer. The table behind us had a group of people busy chatting and taking pictures and it was damn hilarious some of the poses they come up with. TN being a loyal camwhore couldn't let them steal all the fun and even though he didn't have his camera with him made do with his camera phone. There was this one girl that walked in and the whole table was silent while admiring her and at the same time arguing what color top she was wearing. We were left with 3 gueses that night one being pink another magenta and I forgot what was the third, obviously we didn't get our answer. hahahahah.

We still had about an hour or so to kill before the movie started and what better way than to have another round of VB so we called the waiter and away he went and when he came back empty handed and to our horror told us they were out of VB ... god damn it how can you be out of VB .. we only ordered 8 ... I gave TN the comment card for him to fill in .. hahaha .. how can they do this to us ... they will regret this day ... REVENGE IS SWEET !!! All this while there was this two girls that came in and got a table next to ours .. and the amount of noise and laughing that was happening at our table must have scared them a bit cause they kept looking at us funny ... either that or they must have been checking TN out .. hahahahaha ..

So it was time to finally bid Chili's farewell and head over to the cinema. AD didn't join us for the show as he's already seen it. So we got to the cinema and the show was not too bad .. except for the fighting scene ... OMG it's like Street Fighters .. ahhhboookin .. hahahaha..

After the movie was over TN said he got an invite to attend somebody's birthday party in Poppy's. Normally I would have said yes but since I've been out of the house since afternoon I was feeling rather tired and we were going out to Zouk the next night anyway so I gave it a miss. Sent TN back and I head home wondering what joys tomorrow will bring :D

Friendster Cafe

Met up with CT for dinner after being trapped in the house for the whole day. There's only so much alone time a person can handle and I've reached my limits. Seeing that many places are still closed because of Raya we didn't have any idea on where we should go. Finally we ended up in Friendster Cafe in Damansara. It was a nice little place with a dining area and also some sofa's for those who want to just have a drink or play card/board games etc. CT brought the laptop as well hoping to check some mails and even though the place has wifi, we couldn't figure out how to connect to the network because it was using a secured network.

Initially just had some finger food because the waiter said that the kitchen was closed but after seeing the table next door order some proper food I decided to order a burger since I wasn't that hungry. So we had our dinner and I told CT about my adventures in KL. Hahahahahah ... CT said I was mad !!! Well CHANGE.I.AM !! hahahahaha .. once we were done with dinner we decided to call it a night and we parted.

Guys night out

So we met up at Bangsar first to decided where to go and what to do. My friend Jeg was getting married soon and they wanted to have a guys night out and Jeg invited me along as well. We met up around 10:30pm and the rest of his friends arrived around 11pm. After much deliberation we decided to head down to KL town for some partying. We got into one car and away we went.

Initially we wanted to go to Rum Jungle but when we reached there it was rather packed and we ended up in Poppy where we got a bottle and were brought in. The place was quite packed also but being my first time there my friend Jeg said it's usually much more crowded. So we finally manage to get a place inside and the 5 of us got started on the drinks.

After a while we decided to check out the dance floor, one thing I can't understand is why the heck is the dance floor wet. It's like a mini flood but that didn't stop us from shaking our tailfeathers and the music is not too bad either. Another guy joined us much later but he had trouble contacting us and endedup paying for the cover charge and had a glass of champagne. Hahahah. So we finished off our drinks and had like 2 mixer cards left. It was already 3am and not wanting the night to end just yet they decided to head over to Sunway, me being a passenger just follow only la.

By the time we reached Sunway it was almost 4 am and since it's a bachelor's night out it wouldn't be complete without some action. Well I will not elaborate further but suffice to say I've only heard of such things before and this was my first time in such a place and seeing it with my own two eyes. One of the guys decided to get jiggy with it while the rest of us feeling hungry decided to go hunt some food instead.

So once again we were in the car heading towards Kl ... hahahahah... we ended up in some Bahkuteh shop near Jln Ipoh and seeing that it was almost 5 am the place was packed with people who finished their clubbing activities and wanted some food. The 4 of us ordered the food while waiting for the other two to come from the extracuricular activities in Sunway. The food was not too bad but seeing as to how hungry I was I just wallop whatever that was in front of me. The rice is not too bad either it's not plain rice had some fried onion and god knows what else.

So we finally reached Bangsar close to 6am when we finally decided to call it a night .. ermm morning ?? It was one helluva night and a night I definately will not forget anytime soon. Mr Jeg hope you have a long and lasting marriage and may you and your wife have a little kid next year. Thanks for dragging me out and your friends are crazy in a good kind of way ... Muahahahahah

Night out in KL

Had dinner with CT yesterday in Hartamas Square. The food there is not too bad and CT had a feast. Was suppose to meetup with some other friends for some drinks but that was much later at night. So here we were chillin just enjoying dinner which was a lot btw, which suprisingly was gobbled up by CT in a blink of an eye. Hahahahh. After dinner went to check out one of the DVD store nearby cause CT wanted to get some movies but in the end we left empty handed. Good for ya CT see you can control your urge to spend when you want to :p ahhahaha

So after dinner head down to KL to meet the guys for some drinks and I reached there around 10:30 pm or so. Tried calling but the stupid phone network had some problem. So walked around aimlessly as I have no idea where to meetup or where we are suppose to go. Can you imagine that .. hahahahah .. tried many times but the stupid network must have been congested with all the raya calls and greetings flying around. Tried to use a public phone as well and I got so many coins stuck in the payphone until I lost count on the amount used.

Finally used the payphone in one of the hotels and still can't get through. Damn stupid. So here I was in KL all alone wandering around the streets. On the other hand KL was pretty deserted. Got a little bored so got in the car and took a drive around KL hotpots. So now I finally know where is Zouk, Rum Jungle etc hahahahahha ..

As I was leaving KL which was around 12am it started raining. It's like a sign from god telling me to go home. Was on federal highway when finally my phone decided to come alive and connect me back to the world of living. Hahahah so my friend forced me to drive back to KL where finally I manage to join them for some drinks. We decided to call it a night after the fun juice ran out which was around 2am.

As I was leaving KL got into a massive jam along the Pudu jail road. I suck at road names. I thought it was some accident or something but seeing the flashing blue light only meant one thing. jeng jeng jeng ... roadblock. I was lucky enough to go through but my friend who left at the same time kena. We're suppose to head out again tonite this time I'm making sure where we're suppose to go in case the phone networks decided to have a strike again. Hahahahah

Batu Pahat trip

Okay initially when I started off this morning I thought I was suppose to go Muar, well at least that's what I was told. Left KL around 6:30am and reached Yong Peng exit at around 8am then proceeded to drive to Batu Pahat town along the way we were on the lookout for some shops to have breakfast and can you believe that most of the shops were still closed so we kept on driving until we reached Batu Pahat town itself.

Not knowing where to eat and with most of the shop still closed we ended up in the hawker center beside the Batu Pahat bus terminal. Even at the hawker center there was not many choices available.

My sister ordered chinese nasi lemak with barley ice and it only came up to RM 2.80 which is quite cheap considering the drink only costs RM 0.60

I ordered wantan mee but it was prepared differently compared to KL and it was not too bad but a bit spicier compared to what you can usually find in KL. My dad ordered fried meehoon and it costs RM 5.50 for the both of us.

My mom ordered chinese chicken beriyani. Hahahah it was amazing as you rarely find a chinese selling nasi beriyani let alone for breakfast but considereing it only costs RM 2.50 it's cheap.

Well after breakfast we finished our little trip/mission in Batu Pahat and it was time to head back to KL. We left Batu Pahat around 1pm and the journey was torturous. I had to practically slap myself to keep awake as I was trying my very best not too speed and follow the speed limit as it was the festive season and there were many speed traps around but I couldn't last that long and had some short sprints whenever I felt sleepy. Hahahhaha but wasn't really helping that much as I still felt sleepy few minutes after the short adreline rush. Decided to get some coffee and where else to get one other than Starbucks. Hahahhaha iced Americano venti please ... slurrpssss ... hahahah

You know you're addicted to caffeine when you go out of the way just to get a cuppa. God damn it ... all this is TN's fault !!!!!! arrrrghhh must resist the darkside .. but it's tooooooo good .....

Aahhhh my precioussssssssssssss ... and this was even before I reached the toll .. hahahahahah ... damn thirsty laaaa :D

Invading Muar

Here I am awake getting ready to invade Muar for the day while everyone else is either still sleeping or for the less fortunate getting ready for work.

Met up TN and some friends at The Curve for some coffee yesterday night and the place was quite pack especially with people using laptops. Hahahah and not only that there were tonnes of camwhores around us not forgetting our own table of course. Damn I need to get hold of a digicam, regret selling off mine. Once again I had an iced Americano Venti and I'm proud to say that I fell asleep peacefully after I put my head on my pillow. Hahhahaha so I guess caffeine still doesn't really work on me but I feel like I'm having a hangover now. Arrrghhh must be cause of waking up too early in the morning. I will be BACK !!!

Point of no return

I finally did it !!! I got up the nerve to ask a very good friend of mine to check out my blog. So I'm now semi anonymous to the world out there. At least one person who is reading/going to read my blog is someone I know. Thank you very much TN, you've been a great friend along the years through some of the good times and bad times and I hope I can/am returning the favour. Though I got to admit the fault on my part for not keeping in touch before but I'm bacccccckkkk and this time for good !!!! Your friendship is deeply appreciated and treasured !!!

It was TN's birthday yesterday and I showed up out of nowhere. The look of suprise on TN's face is priceless. Hahahahahah I hope that it was a good decision on my part and hopefully he has one of those birthdays that he will remember for many many years. I haven't laughed so much for so long that my stomach and face muscles hurt. Hahahahahah. Happy birthday TN hope all your wishes and dreams come true this year.

My money burner

Most of the people that know me know that I'm crazy about cars well I'm more of an enthusiast la. Hahahaha and I've been into track driving since .... ermmmm ... 2001 I think bringing my stock standard Proton Wira to Batu 3 which has since been demolished and now only place left to have some safe fun is Sepang F1 circuit which is quite a distance but has much wider lanes and a slimmer chances of you ending up against a wall.

Last weekend a few friends headed to Sepang for an open track day but I was still recovering from my surgery plus the fact that I was a bit low on cash, hence I didn't join them but a friend of mine manage to take an in car shot of Sepang track so for those who have not been in Sepang before here's what you can expect !!! The adrenaline rush is pure ecstasy even just by watching the video it get's my heart pumping and palms sweaty. It's a feeling that's hard to describe in words, just you and your ride with wide open road pushing your car to the limit and sometimes over the limit but still maintaining your limit. Huh .. am I making any sense .. hahahaha ..

Here's the video that I mentioned ... the video starts off at the last corner heading towards the grandstand and start/finish line. OMG I can't wait to join the next open track day .. here's a layout of the track.

Blogophobia - fear of blogging

Have been thinking about this long and hard ever since my first post. I have this fear of blogging well not blogging in particular but about having my feelings in writings available for others to read. I guess this is an extension to my real life personality as I'm a self conscious person and don't like the feeling of being judged and critisised but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way or am I ... hmmmmmmmm

Well I mean like what do I have to loose ? First of all no one really knows the existance of this blog and even those that do have no idea who I am so in a way I have my sense of security even though it's rather fake. Hahaha. What's the point of having a blog if you can't express your feelings the way you want to and have to censor certain things from being posted. Defeats the purpose I guess but then again if I really wanted to post my inner most deepest feelings it wouldn't be on the internet and would be in a diary that is kept in a locked drawer at home. Am I making any sense ??

On one hand I long for the need to share my life with someone just anyone but on the other hand I'm afraid of letting people into my inner thoughts and feelings. Torn in between but then if I truly want to change I guess this is the best way to start. If I were to slowly reveal what's happening to me, be more open to others who actually think something of me will help me in some way understand more about myself and not be too harsh and judgemental on myself. I am my own worst enemy I guess. All it takes is a smile to make my day and in this case maybe by posting and getting accepted by others will help me to accept me for who I am and get a sense of belonging and acceptance ? I just want to be accepted for who I am is that too much to ask for ??

I really admire those who have blogs and don't mind others having a look into their life and at the same time post pictures of themselves and their activities. Seems a bit too much for me to do that at this moment but I'm taking baby steps and having a blog is already a big giant step for me. So the next thing I need to do is to get out of my comfort zone and open out to the world .... WORLD HERE I COME !!!! CHANGE I AM !!!

Here's an interesting blog that you should check out. Love the way she writes well she's a writer after all and it's amusing how she potrays her fear of blogging.

Changing changing

You've Changed 44% in 10 Years

You've done a good job changing with the times, but deep down, you're still the same person.
You're clothes, job, and friends may have changed some - but it hasn't changed you.

Ermmm apparently I haven't really been changing that much in the past 10 years. hahahha .. oh well at least I'm taking the innitiative to do something with my life now rather than just go along with what's in store.

The Introvert Advantage

So I finally finished reading this book which I bought some time back and felt that I had to share it with all my fellow innies. Since young I've always felt alone in a crowd, preferring to linger around quietly in a corner while observing the others. As I grew up it became even more obvious and at time people think of it as me being shy or even antisocial. Well to overcome it I tried to become more outgoing and try to fit in as much as possible but soon realise that I'm often tired and grumpy and not truly enjoying myself no matter how hard I tried. So what's so great about this book ?

Well the back cover claims that it's "Filled with Aha! moments of recognition" so what more could I loose than a couple of hours reading it and by the time I was done it struck me like lightning. I was truly amazed as to how much I could relate myself to what was being said. Everyone seems to vaguely know the difference between an extrovert and an introvert but what actually makes a person an innie. Being a person we certainly have moments where we were one or the other but apparently we are already hard wired to be just one majority of the time.

Was I glad I found this book to only realise that I'm normal and the select few innies in the world of extroverts. The thing that really hit me was how the author explains situations in which I have many times found myself in. An example would be how I hate to be disturbed by phone calls when I'm concentrating on work and often get irritated and moody when interrupted. It drains quite a bit of my energy to shift my focus on the call and then to get back my train of thoughts where I left them often having to start all over again which makes me even more irritated when the phone rings again the next time.

This is some of the general points that seperate introverts and extroverts though I'm sure there will some overlapping

Introverts:

Enjoy time alone
Consider only deep relationships as friends
Feel drained after outside activities, even if they were fun
Good listener
Appear calm and self-contained
Think then speak or act

Extroverts:

Like to be in the thick of things
Relish variety
Know lots of people, considers lots of people friends
Enjoy chit-chatting, even to strangers
Feel stoked after activity
Speak or act then think OR think while speaking

Introverts need to recharge their energy and take care of their unique temperament in many areas of their lives. Check these tips out.

Recharging

  • Take short rests before you are tired
  • Write in time-outs on your daily calendar
  • Include nature every day, sit in the yard, go for a walk, look at trees or set a soothing outdoor picture on your table
  • Create down time to store energy before any big event
  • Remind yourself its OK to be introverted

At Work

  • Since you may not speak in meetings, write a memo to co-workers/boss afterward with your comments and suggestions
  • Tell your boss you need to think before you can discuss your thoughts
  • Say thank you if someone gives you a compliment
  • Include yourself by coming early to meetings to help set up or clean up afterwards
  • Say hello to people, smile and say thank you to presenters at the end of meetings

Relationships

  • Leave notes for those you care about
  • Talk about your differences based on your temperaments
  • Discuss how to clear up conflicts
  • You have the capacity to enjoy private time
  • Plan for couple and friend time

Socializing

  • Choose which events you want to attend, it's OK to decline invitations
  • Remind yourself you may feel overstimulated at social gatherings and that is OK
  • Stay on the side-lines and observe before you enter festive occasions
  • Decide when you will arrive and leave, you can always stay longer if you feel peppy enough
  • Wear an interesting piece of jewelry or tie (usually guys) as a conversation starter

Dealing with Introverted Children

  • Explain introverted qualities to your child
  • Never correct your child in front of others
  • Let them watch before entering an activity
  • Encourage breaks to recharge
  • Realize they need time to think before responding to questions
So innies unite and be proud of being special in the sea of extrovert people

Monday morning

What a way to start the Monday morning. Slept late last night god knows why I blame it on the caffeine but so far no matter how much I drink I've never had problems sleeping. Will try it again and see the effects ... hahaha .. so I manage to wake up and get to office on time only to find that the office is empty except for 3-4 people. OMG where the heck is everyone ? Am I still dreaming or something. Have a meeting at 9am and my colleague is still not here yet. Ahhh but the good thing is the wiper decided to work again today. Guess it got a fright yesterday with the sudden heavy downpour. Hahaha

Rain or shine

Was suppose to go shopping yesterday but I was so damn lazy and wanted to just laze around at home. Finally manage to get my homepc working but I had to resort to reinstalling a fresh copy of Win XP so now I have to start reinstalling programs one by one but at least now I can get access to all my files and continues watching my movies... ahhhhh my precioussssssss ... so instead of going out shopping ended up doing some cleaning but the mess seems to be still piled up in one corner. Ahhhhh will leave it for another day.

Streamyx seems to be having PMS these past few days I would keep getting disconnected ever so often till the point I was so damn irritated and wanted to go to the nearest wifi spot but since my homepc was up and I could continue watching my movies I just decided to do that. Today is the same but seems to be slightly better. Not sure if it's just me or is everyone also having the same problem.

Since I spent the whole day lazing yesterday decided to go out today. Woke up early and called up a few friends but all seem to be still asleep so I was left to eat lunch alone. Had seafood noodles in Segambut. Highly recommended !!! Dropped by BTS (Berjaya Times Square) a while to go get something and I got an sms from WK saying that we could meet up for some drinks after lunch.

So we met up in Subang for a cuppa coffee and I tried the Americano again but this time a hot steaming Venti instead. Muahahahah. It was good !!! God damn it I'm starting to get addicted to coffee again. I thought I could stay away but it's calling out my nameeeeeee ... noooooooo ... bad bad this is bad....

As we were sitting down drinking our coffee and chatting it suddenly decided to rain and the lightning was quite frightful so we decided to call it a day before it started pouring. As I was driving back home the stupid car wiper decided to take a break and it was bloody pouring and I could barely make out the road. Lucky I was quite near the house but it was still damn difficult to make out the road and cars. Managed to reach home in one piece. Need to get the wiper checked soon as it's the rainy season now.

What a night .. hic .. burrppp

So after many times being too busy with work CT finally manage to get off work today and we met up for dinner. It was a nice cozy restaurant in Damansara. Wasn't crowded at all and the music was just nice. Not too loud not too soft and they were playing my kind of music. Wooottt !!!

Reached there before 9pm and what do I see, CT trying to get online to check mail. OMG CT wei get a life !!! hahahha so even if CT manage to physically get away from the office but the work decided to join for dinner as well. They have wifi there as well but it was a secured network so we decided to leech from the TMnet hotpot next door. Hahahah

Dinner was great I had marinara spagethi and I forgot what CT had. I also ordered garlic bread and it was to die for. I love garlic bread and theirs were good. They even had a layer of cheese on top of the bread. Just thinking of it gets my mouth all watery.

CT was having white wine and I decided to get a glass as well but CT suggested to just get a bottle instead. So here we were sitting enjoying dinner sipping the lovely white wine which I seriously LOVE !!! I'm not really a wine connesiour so I have no idea what wine we got but the taste was something I like. All I know was it was an Australian wine and at the back label it suggested trying to drink it while having thai food. Hahahahhaha.

Apart from CT being busy checking the laptop every once in a while and the sms/calls on CT's two handphones !!! It was a lovely dinner oh and I also got a call but that's another story for another time. CT finally decided to forget about work and kept the laptop. THANK GOD !!! hahahaha so as we were talking while sipping the wine suddenly I heard sobs from the table behind us. At first CT never realise and when the crying got louder CT looked at me and asked is she crying ?? I said yup what do you think. There were two ladies and a guy there. They were happily talking to each other while the poor girl was crying her head off. I don't know what's her problem but then at least her friends should console her when she's crying right. Anyway that's other people's problem I have enough on my own.

So we decided to call it a night and after having one whole bottle of wine just the two of us. Was feeling a little light headed. Hahahahh got home in one piece and just fell asleep. Thanks CT for finally taking the time off from work .. well sort of anyway ... hahahaha .. we should do it again some time soon.

Friday the 13th !!!

It's in !!! I love this place I'm working in. It's only the 13th and my salary is already in because of the festive season nest week. The company wants us to contribute to the economy. The good thing about that is tomorrow can go shopping the bad thing is I have to wait till end of next month for the next paycheck.

CT couldn't make it again last night for dinner but we ended up talking instead. CT asked me my birth details to be filled in some site to get my horoscope reading. It was quite accurate except for my love life part. God damn it what have I been doing all these years apparently I need to be out there getting jiggy with it. Hahahaha. Will post it later when I get back home. You can try it and see if you want to know your own reading. Check it out here.

So today is Friday the 13th for those who believe in such a thing. So far nothing bad has happened yet *touch wood*. Guess I will be at home today trying to fix my god damned pc. Arghhhhhh

Personality and Character

You are quite a demanding person once you have decided what you want. As an optimistic person you'll always tell your friends how fabulous/marvelous the day has been. Goodness and virtue are your traits. A handy person, you can fix almost everything, rearrange furniture better than most people. You are a sore loser and cannot take setbacks kindly. You are also quick in making friends and do not mind in giving pep talks or offer help to them because you enjoy praise and respect in return.

You are a gifted person who can accomplish a great deal if properly motivated. You are also good at know-how to manage, handle and use others through your diplomatic talent. You are fast in reacting to situations, catching opportunities and can see what people want from you.

Romance and Compatibilities

You fall in love instantly, considered as being sexy people and are constantly involved romantically. You are known for not being sentimental and your quick impulse may lead you to love disappointment in the long run. It is very easy to reveal yourself if your mate or lover can engage you intimately. You are most compatible to Leo and Sagittarius born in Tiger/Dog years.

You are suave, clever and quite popular with women. Good at seducing, you can have many one-night stands.

Profession

When young you aspire to be an actor, singer or artist. But due to your self-realization, you will choose to pursue a more secure career. As an independent worker you make a better boss than employee. Any professions that need fast decisions are suitable for you such as computer programmer, journalist, pilot, translator or advertising jobs.

You will achieve much success in the financial field like mortgages, financial futures, stock broking and money market. You are capable in planning, building, developing and operating a business enterprise. In short, you hope to become a capitalist and you often associate with people in high places.

Festive season approaching

With Deepavali and Hari Raya just around the corner everyone seems to be in holiday mood already. The office will unofficially be closed for a week as most of the people will be away preparing for the celebration or taking this chance to go and have a break. I'm also taking this opportunity to apply holiday so I can finally clean up my room as my yearly ritual during this time of year. Also need to go and get some new clothes. Haven't been out shopping in ages and most of my clothes are either faded or disintegrated on it's own due to too much usage. Hahahha. Since salary is due out earlier this month I guess I might head over to the nearest shopping center this weekend to see what I can get for myself. I might end up buying a new digital camera or Ipod instead or even a new phone even though I don't need any of them.

My colleague is already on MC waiting to deliver anytime soon. Hope she gives birth to a healthy baby and both mother and child are okay. Sometimes can't help to wonder what my life would be as a husband and father. One thing for sure most of my friends who have settled down and now having a kid seem to be much calmer than before. Hhahahah I guess with a baby waking you up every other hour you learn patience. Guess I don't have to worry about that for now since I have a lot more other things that need to be settled before I can even think of settling down. Lunchiesssssssssssss... laterz...

From alcoholic to a workaholic

I was suppose to meet CT for dinner and drinks last night and have been stood up twice in fact. Grrrrr. CT who used to party so hard that I used to have trouble convincing CT there's more to life than just partying but now is so busy working even later than what I usually do. I still remember the times when I used to get harrased for working late nights in the office by my friends. Hahahahah goes to show how someone's priority in life changes as time goes by. I'm suppose to meet CT again tonight but we'll just see how it goes ..

Performancing update

I was talking to a friend about performancing recently and the inability to set the font and he said just go and edit the template and set it what font you want lah. Then it hit me like a brick. OMG hahahaha how could I not think of that even though I'm working with CSS almost every other day.

So here I am trying to post via performancing again but I seem to be having some weird ATOM error message once in a while. Still looking into it at the moment. Also installed OakFlickr4PFF which can be downloaded from here. Basically it's a plugin for performancing that allows you to either drag and drop the photos into the performancing editor and it will upload the files automatically into Flickr. Instructions on setting up OalFlickr4PFF can be found here. Just registered an account with Flickr which amazingly enough is now affiliated with Yahoo so I just used my yahoo id to sign in for it.

Firefox is just amazing and the plugins and extension available for it is always growing. GET IT NOW !!!! It's the browser of the future !! hahahah

The two devils

Woke up as I usually did and after I got ready went downstairs to have my breakfast. While I was eating realised that my two little devils
were on the loose and was interested to see what I was having for breakfast. Since I had nothing better to do I decided to take some
pictures of them. The silky terrier is a pedigree male where else the other is a bitch which is a mix breed between a shih tzu and don't know what. They have been around the family for god knows how long. I think the male is around 9-10 years old now and the bitch is around 5-6 years old. Here are some pictures of the little devils.

Ole Skool Friends - Pt II

Since my friend was going back to Oz land on Friday we decided to meetup once more for dinner to say farewell to him. This time was a rather small group as there were only 4 of us including him. We went to dinner in a chinese shop in The Curve. I forgot the name. It was Ah Tee or something like that. The food was quite good and their speciality chicken was delicious but since I was still quite full from lunch I just had a bit to eat. Well at least this time we manage to meetup twice before he left unlike last year. I wonder if I could make a trip to Oz land next year. We'll see how it goes. I could just bunk with him and save up some money on accomodation. Hahahah

Stormy Monday but Tuesday just as bad

Well after yesterday night enlightning experience decided to get out of the house and do something other than sitting down and wondering. Called up a friend TN to meetup for lunch. He sent his car for service so I picked him and and we went to Shogun for lunch. There was quite a good mix of food available for us to choose from but not everything was Japanese there was even mee goreng and meehon goreng I think. Hahahahah ..

After lunch we headed to Starbucks to grab some coffee while sitting down and relaxing and talking about how to become millionaires. As we were enjoying our Americano which was my very first time ordering it we overheard a group of people sitting at the next table preparing for some presentation with a client. My guess is they probably were some freelance worker/students. After enjoying my very first Americano we decided to walk around a bit to digest the food a bit. Still was feeling damn full though I feel I ate so much lesser than what I would have normally eaten.

We ended up in Geeks ?? I think that's what it was called and TN got a phone call and was busy so I decided to check out the new Asus P525 pda phone. More on that at a later time Suffice to say I've fallen in love. Hahahahah. Anyone want to get me one for Xmas ?!?! TN got off the phone and said his compressor was shot and needs to be replaced with a new unit which sounded obscenely expensive. Since TN car was not about to get ready anytime soon I suggested we go watch a movie to kill time and to let TN chill a bit. Hahahah.

Suprisingly we got pretty good seats considering there were loads of people there and it was a public holiday. So we head over to the cinema and sat down waiting for the movie to start. I think we barely sat down for 5 mins and TN got another phone call and he went away. When he came back he said his mofo mechanic crashed his car. I was like WTF. So we skipped the movie and head over to the police station.

When I got there TN was already there and said his car was in pretty bad shape. So we went to the police station to make the report. It took some time since it was a public holiday and it being a puasa month. After TN mechanic saw the IO (Investigating Officer .. i think) they came out to get pictures of the car and the police guy kept telling TN and me that the mechanic story somehow doesn't sound right but they will go over to the place of the accident and check it out anyway. Hope everything turns out okay for him .. since it's suppose to be his month of celebration.

For those who seldom go to Starbucks like myself who only knows how to enjoy his coffee in the local kopitiam where coffee is just known as coffee here is something I got from the web.

Latte Lingo

"What will you have?"

Do these words at the espresso counter leave you a little speechless? Not sure how to order the coffee drink you're craving? Learn the espresso lingo here, and you'll be able to step right up and rattle off your order like the most seasoned espresso drinker.

Barista
That really nice person behind the Starbucks counter who knows the recipe for perfect espresso and can decode your order and deliver exactly what you want.

Shot
The standard one fluid ounce serving of espresso. Each well "pulled" shot is composed of three layers: the heart, the body and the crema -the top layer of caramel-colored foam that starts to dissipate seconds after the shot is poured.

Espresso (E-SPRE'-SO)
The concentrated coffee "essence" brewed from our own Espresso Roast beans. Espresso is served alone in a demitasse or used as the basis for one of our specialty beverages.

Espresso Con Pana
(E-SPRE'-SO CONE PA'-NA)
A shot of espresso capped with a dollop of whipped cream.

Espresso Macchiato
(E-SPRE'-SO MA-KEE-AH'-TOE)
A shot of espresso capped with a light lid of foamed milk.

Caffè Latte
(KA-FAY' LA'-TAY)
A soothing beverage composed of three layers: a freshly drawn shot of espresso, milk steamed and poured to fill the cup and finally, a quarter-inch dollop of foamed milk to create a delicate first impression. A Latte Macchiato is made in a similar fashion to a Caffè Latte except the espresso is poured over the steamed milk, thus "marking" the milk.

Caffè Mocha
(KA-FAY' MO'-KAH)
A classic combination of a freshly pulled espresso shot and highest quality chocolate blended with fresh steamed milk. Often topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a light sprinkling of cocoa powder.

Cappuccino
(KA-PU-CHEE'-NO)
A typical Italian breakfast beverage using less steamed milk and more foamed milk than the Caffè Latte. Cappuccino can be ordered "dry" for an extra foamy cup or "wet" for a more milky drink.

Caffè Americano
(KA-FAY' A-MER-I-CAH'-NO)
Our deep, rich espresso combined with hot water. The result is a cup of full-flavored coffee with the distinct taste of espresso.

Single

A one fluid ounce serving of straight espresso, served alone or with steamed milk in an espresso beverage. The standard for most short and tall espresso drinks.

Double
Two one fluid ounce servings of straight espresso. This is the standard for Grande and Venti beverages, but if you want your tall Caffè Latte doubly strong, you'd better ask.

Short
At Starbucks, an eight fluid ounce beverage, perfect for an after-dinner coffee.

Tall

At Starbucks, a 12 fluid ounce beverage. This is the most popular size.

Grande

At Starbucks, a 16 fluid ounce beverage. When you need an extra boost.

Non-fat

All the milk, hold the fat. Order a non-fat Caffè Latte if you want skim milk.

No foam

Don't like the way the frothed milk on your Caffè Latte tickles your nose? Order it "no foam," and you'll get only espresso and steamed milk.

Dry

More foam than milk. If you like your Cappuccino really light and airy, order it "dry."

Extra foam

Foam keeps your espresso drink hot, so if you're taking it to go, you might want to order "extra foam."

With room

Short for "I'd like to add cream to my Americano, so please leave me some room in my cup."

Whip
Short for "whipped cream." Want to save a few calories in your Caffè Mocha? Order it "no whip."

Vanilla, Hazelnut, Caramel, Almond

Add this to your order if you'd like a shot of flavor syrup added to your beverage.

My life or what's left of it

So here I am sitting in my bed wondering about my life and what have I accomplished so far. Actually ever since I was in the hospital I've been wondering about it and was contemplating if I should post about it but since no one really knows about the blog so what harm can it do.

It's been a question that's been nagging me for quite some time. I dare say I've got quite a good job with a decent pay and living a somewhat comfortable life but something seems to be missing from my life. It just doesn't feel right and I've been living day to day with this nagging feeling deep inside me. Somehow I feel like I've not been doing enough or whatever that I've been doing is not good enough. Well as far as work goes I have no issues and able to complete all the tasks in a timely manner but when it comes to my own life it's as though I have lost sight of what I want.

When I just started working which was about 7 years ago I felt the greed for money and worked hard to get to where I am today but now when I feel comfortable enough with what I'm earning I realised that I seem to have forgotten how I got here and what makes it worst is no one seems to be around me to enjoy with me the accomplishments that I have achieved so far. It's as though in my quest for glory I have neglected those who were once close to me and I guess that's one of the reason why I'm trying to get in touch again with my friends. To make up for lost time before I'm totally forgotten.

Recently I did manage to get in touch with them but while listening to their journey in life and to the places they have been and the people they have met, I started to feel slightly envious as to why my life seems so mundane and boring. Heck I also want to jump out of a plane at don't know how many thousand feet, I also want to go bungee jumping, I also want to go around the world and meet all type of different and interesting people but all I have done for so long is sit behind the desk doing my job. I feel that what I've been doing so far doesn't mean much and it's just something that everyone else is doing. I know I should not be comparing myself with other people and everyone will have to go through their own journey in life and everyone has a different path to follow with different lessons in life but if I myself am not satisfied with the life I have at the moment what can I do ? Can I change the path I'm on ? Can I just drop everything and go backpacking around the world ?

I used to think that money was the answer to everything. If only I had more money I would be happier. If only I had a new mp3 player I would be happier. If only I had a new phone I would be happier. Maybe a new car would be the answer to my emptyness. Happy I was when I bought things to keep me happy but it was superficial , after a while I was back to the way I was albeit slightly poorer. As I continue with the journey in my life I come to realise that being materialistic no more excites me as it used to. Now I also am not sure what I'm seeking for or what I need to make me feel whole again.

Maybe part of the empytyness is due to a recent breakup. Though many things has happened between us the thought of going on without her in my life never crossed my mind. We spent almost a decade together and now even though it's been a few months since we're apart I still feel the loneliness and sometimes long for her to be by my side. I have not mention about our break to others and only a handful of people know about it and I was asked why was that so. The only reason I could come up with was I was afraid of what others might think and I feel partially responsible for what has happened and ashamed with the outcome. So here I am mentioning that the mask I was putting on for everyone is fake and I'm actually hurting and depressed deep down inside and I'm still not 100% healed from the breakup. I know I'm suppose to get on with my life and forget about her but sometimes it's easier said than done.

Never have I felt so lonely in such a long time that I actually forgot how it feels like and now it's something I feel everyday and it scares the living daylights out of me. I'm afraid of one day lying in my deathbed all alone with no one around me wondering what I have done with my life and if I made any difference at all to the people around me and if anyone would remember me if and when I'm gone. I've been having weird dreams of myself dying and looking down on myself from above and wondering how my departure affects the people I'm close with. Wondering if they'll miss me when I'm gone or I'm just another passing moment in their life and I'm forgotten and life goes on the very next day ?

I feel confused, hurt, angry, sad, lonely, depressed, lost, empty and a whole other myriad of feelings that I can't even put into words. As I was typing I heard a song on my playlist and it totally is what I feel like doing now.

It's by Keith Urban - Tonight I wanna cry.

Alone in this house again tonight
I got the TV on, the sound turned down and a bottle of wine
Theres pictures of you and I on the walls around me the way that it was and should have been surrounds me
I'll never get over you walkin' away

Well I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with my pride
Let it fall like rain, from my eyes
Tonight I wanna cry.

Would it help if i turned a sad song on
"All by Myself" would sure hit me hard, now that you're gone
Or maybe unfold some old yellow lost love letters
It's gonna hurt bad before it gets better
But I'll never get over you by hidin' this way

Cause I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with my pride
Let it fall like rain, from my eyes
Tonight I wanna cry.

oOOo

Well I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with this pride
Let it fall like rain, from my eyes
Tonight I wanna cry.

mmhmm mm

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

I heart this song very much. Totally explains what I'm feeling right now.

Not only that I found this one as well which was obviously made by a One Tree Hill fan. What more could I ask for. Okay time to get all nostalgic and spend the rest of the day wondering about my life.

Hot bloody hazy Sunday

Woke up on Sunday only to find that the house was emtpy. You definately know something is wrong with your life when it's your parents that go disappearing on the weekends and you're left home alone. Hahahahaha. Manage to get some posts up yesterday before heading out.

There's something wrong with my homepc. I think the hard disk decided to take a break on me so I had to go KL to get a replacement. Since I was already in KL I headed to Cetiarbank to deposit some money and after that headed over to Berjaya Times Square to get some books in Borders. I seem to be buying quite a few book lately, more on that later when I start to actually read them. Nowdays spending time reading a book seem to be something I'm looking forward to. OMG what's happening to meeeeee.

The haze situation in KL isn't getting any better as well. I could hardly see KLCC from BTS. It was pretty bad. Here's a picture taken around 2pm on what was suppose to be a bright Sunday afternoon. You can barely make out the Twin Tower but then again the camera I was using is not some super duper sophisticated one so probably it made is look slightly worst than what it really was. Hahaha

The night was just as bad and it damn bloody hot, had to increase the air cond or else would have died from the heat. When is this haze going to go away !!!!

Haze, Haze, go away.
Come again some other day.
Little me wants to play,
In the meadow by the hay.

Long lost friends

I haven't been keeping in touch with some of my friends for quite some time and since I wanted to make it a point to make my presence known again I decided to try to track them down one by one. Hahahahah it really was quite a daunting task as I've not seen or heard from some of them for almost 5 years or more and had no idea where or how to even to get their contact details.

After some digging I manage to get in touch with some of my friends whom I've never seen for almost 6 years. Sent them an email hoping I got the right person and presto I was once again in touch with them. We decided to meet up and catch up and good old times so the place and time was set. I was rather skeptical on the meetup since it's been ages since I met any of them and basically it was my fault that we drifted apart in the first place. Plus the fact that we haven't been in touch for ages got me wondering if we have anything left in common and if we'll be able to have a decent conversation like we used to or end up with awkward moments of silence with us just staring at each other or even worst not looking at each other at all. Hahahahhaha. Also with all that has been happening in my life recently I wasn't sure I would make such great company and as usual become to doubt my decision and myself.

So it was a Friday night and I was looking forward to the dinner that we had arranged and since I got off from work earlier I decided to head back home and have a shower before heading out again. We were suppose to meet around 7:30 pm or so but my workaholic friend (CT) who was still stuck in the office only made it around 8:30pm or so well better late than never. It was definitely nice to see a familiar face once again after such a long time. We ordered our food and started off with the usual chit chat and before long we were talking non stop hahahaha. Even though we haven't seen each other for 6 years but it seem like it was only yesterday I had last met CT and it felt so natural and comfortable and we could talk about anything and that's exactly what we did. Not sure when we'll be meeting again but hopefully soon enough.

So Saturday was a rather a boring day with me waking up late after Friday's interesting dinner with CT. Since the car was due for service decided to head over to the workshop. So there I was waiting for my car to get serviced and decided to call up another friend (WK) to say I'm still alive and well. We plan to meet up for drinks later in the afternoon since WK was around the area as well but somehow it didn't happen as WK was busy running around doing some errands and I was still stuck in the workshop. So we postponed it to Sunday instead but while I was lazing around at home in front of the tele at night WK text me and asked if I was interested in meeting up so I agreed since I had nothing to do anyway. We met up for drinks and started filling the gaps as to what happened in our lives. Obviously not everything could be covered in such a short time but we generally got an idea as to what was happening and how life has been treating us. The place we met was a bit noisy and we had to shout at certain point but we manage to have quite a decent conversation. Hopefully we'll be able to meetup again soon.

Now comes the difficult part, when should I call them to meetup again. They obviously have their own friends and their own plans and with me suddenly appearing out of no where how do I get back into their life without getting too pushy or sounding too desperate ?? hhahahahah Even though we used to spend a lot of time together last time and even though they have not changed that much but definitely their lifestyle and work commitments would have some impact to their free time and with whom they spend it with. My life pales in comparison and I feel I'm such a bore and have not accomplished much compared to them. It's like while I was sitting at home mopping and getting depressed they were out there enjoying themselves and grabbing life by the balls and taking what they want and need out of it. Feels like whatever I've been doing has been so insignificant ... grrrrrrrr ... *mental note ...MUST STOP COMPARING ... arrgghhhh ... * Well we'll see how it goes.

I'm totally happy that even though I have disappeared for some time they still treasure the friendship we have and are just as excited with my return as I am with their openness and warmness and understanding to my situation. It's totally mind boggling how we could still talk like as though I was never away. I'm now taking the initiative to make up for my disappearing act and would like to thank my friends for letting me once again appear in their life. I'm definitely sorry for not keeping in touch, hopefully it will never happen again and we'll continue to have more happy memories in the times to come.

Malaysia Boleh vs Boleh Malaysia

This article entitled Switch to Boleh and see us move up the ranks which I got from Suanie's blog is definately a must read. See how you can help improve Malaysia's ranking in the world and make it a better place for you and me. It definately made my Sunday Morning much brighter.

Who Killed the Electric Car ?

Heard a friend mentioned about this show the other day and I got a chance to watch it yesterday night. If you cared about the future and wish for freedom from the petroleum giants you should definately watch this show. It's really an eye opener !!

Well before watching the show I have heard of electric cars though I never knew they went "obsolete" and also the real reason as to why they never sold a whole lot of electric cars.

The film showcased the EV1 made by GM and how California took the bold move to have a mandate for pollution free cars. Apart from that it also showcased the various parties that played a role in the death of the electric cars and how the owners tried their very hardest to get back the cars they loved driving.

Oddly enough California later on got sued by some of the car manufacturers and were "forced" to ebolish the mandate. Strange as it may seem but all the electric cars that were sold to people were actually leased and the car manufacturers later on recalled all the electric cars which were then destroyed and from what I can remember this involved companies like Toyota,Honda and even GM.

Just because it's an electric car doesn't mean it can't go. There was one car which had higher capacity batteries that did 0-60mph in 4-5sec which is pretty damn quick and on average the electric car goes about 100-130miles per charge which is more than what an average user travels in a day. I myself only travel around 100km a day and the electric car seems to suit my requirements perfectly. One of the comments made in the film was the electric car definately was not for everyone as it only fits 90% of the population requirements. This got me laughing. hahaha

Go ahead and get hold of the show and watch how even the government played a part in the death of the electric car. Electric cars are not the thing of the future nor should it be a part of the past. They should be running on our streets saving consumers from the petroleum giants and at the same time saving our planet !!!

Ole Skool Friends

Met up with some friends yesterday night for dinner. The last we met was some where around last year when one of the guys came back from Oz and this year is the same. When he's back we'll all try to meet. Have known them since secondary school and boy does time fly. We tried out this restaurant called Dragon-I in Sunway Pyramid. One of the guys was working for the company and we got to eat for free. Hahahha .. Thank you very much Mr SKF.

It was a chinese restaurtant that serves chinese delicacies paus, noodles, rice and others. The place was rather exotic looking with a very nice ambience. We got the seat near the window facing Sunway Pyramid but since it was already at night there wasn't much to look at. Definately would have been a splendid view during the day. Suprisingly the place had quite a lot of people even for a weekday. One of the guys is also going to get married this year. Congratulations to Mr DC. Seems like most of my friends are already married or having kids leaving poor ole me alone. It's suprising to see people whom were the "rascals" in school now being responsible husbands and fathers. With my current situation seems like I still have a long way to go. Hahahah. So the food was good and the company was great but guys being guys we had to have a few drinks before calling it a night.

So we head over to ermmm ... okay I forgot the place. It was beside Dome, something jungle I think. Then the basic questions came like where you're still working, when you're getting married, when having kids, how much work sucks, how to make more money, how to start own business. Hahahahahah ...

I've known some of them since I was 13 which means I've know them for 15 years now, which is damn long though not everyone has remained close but just the ability for us who have gone their own different paths to come together and just sit down and talk about our experiences with life and work is really amazing.. well to me at least. The only thing we have in common is we used to know each other during secondary school and now here we are 11 years later after leaving school sitting down and chatting about the mysteries of life and of course the drinks does help loosen things up a bit as well .. hahahaha

It was nice to see familiar faces once again and hopefully we'll be meeting more often but that's what we said last year and it took us one whole year to meet again. Probably the next time we meet most will be having kids already. It's good to know that we still have our friendship after all this time. Cheers guys !!!
